WELCOME TO EYV
Empowering Young Voices, Inc. (EYV) is a social enterprise that empowers youth and adults with quality life skills, entrepreneurial, educational, and leadership training through workshops, lectures, event planning, popular culture, visual, media, and performing arts. EYV is a Stockton-based organization and has been in existence since 2008.
EYV holds its empowerment classes, workshops, and/or programs in Stockton, CA. We are formatted and operate similar to an American public school. Peer Mentors are EYV’s version of teachers. Peer Mentors—after they undergo orientation and/or training--have the ability to design and facilitate workshops, classes, and courses that address any of EYV’s 12 Empowerment Departments. (See below) EYV was created to provide service to the growing number of low-income young people who were falling behind socially, academically, and economically in Stockton in 2008.
